FFX was my favorite FF game, but FFX-2 kind of ruined it for me. Like it didn't change how great FFX was but as far as the story going forward I can't see myself really being interested anymore after FFX-2.
The only way I can see myself caring about anything FFX is if they do something like FF7 remake, where they go back to first one and change the story and make it an active storyline where events change and we don't know what's going to happen next, essent...
I don't know why it's more popular either, it's mostly just a rehash of Dark Souls but open world. I think the popularity comes from the hype, FromSoftware picked up a reputation with the Dark Souls series, so naturally there's a good chance their next games will have a lot of hype around them.
Damn, that was fast. These guys make games really fast. I hope at some point they make a Bloodborne 2.
Read the article before you make a big deal, it's only the 2nd time it happens since launch and it's because of supply issues.
AI: The SOMNIUM FILES has nothing to do with xbox specifically, it's just coming to all platforms.
EDIT: This article is from the thexboxhub, I guess that explains it.
There is a lot more competition this time obviously.
Mine would probably be:
1. Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth
2. Final Fantasy 16
3. Starfield
4. The Callisto Protocol
5. Resident Evil 4 Remake
Not all of those are reveals, some we had already seen before.
I also thought that Last of Us multiplayer project sounded interesting, but they haven't really shown anything yet.
Who knows, I'm finally going to play it when it comes out this winter. But it must be pretty good. I've been watching reactions on youtube and it seems a lot of girls get emotional when they see Zack. Some look like they like him even more than Cloud.
I still just don't see how the Xbox showcase was that good. I see the list of games there with my own eyes and I just don't see all the huge bangers that this article is talking about. Not to mention, we later found out the Persona Collection, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and most of those other games are also coming to Playstation.
Was it the best showcase of the summer? I would say yeah, they had Starfield and the show was an hour and half long while the State of play ...
Why so offended? I said it looked good, I just didn't know for sure. I didn't have a PSP. It's definitely not a straight up port since Aerith's face looks exactly how it did in the Remake. Crisis Core came out way before the Remake obviously.
Wow, maybe it's time to finally play Crisis Core. I always avoided it because I didn't want any spoilers for the FF7 Remake. But Crisis Core is a prequel so maybe it's not too bad, it might just give me more background info into the story of FF7. I thought about this before but decided to be safe and just avoid it. But now with a decent remake on consoles... I might have to go for it.
Edit: I said remake but maybe it's just a port. Either way it looks prett...
The trailer itself is pretty damn skimpy though, all we saw is Cloud walking in what looked like actually gameplay. As far as the story, I'm more confused than ever. That sounded like Tifa asking if she's an imposter... While Aerith is talking about focusing on the future. But who cares, I'm just thrilled they showed it.
I do know that since the end of the first Remake part, they broke out of the original timeline it seems, so things are changing. I knew since b...
Yes! This is what I had been waiting for! So it's coming winter 2023 while FF16 is coming summer 2023. That works, I'm a bit surprised I didn't expect it till like 2024.
All this made me think is that Fallout 5 isn't coming till a shit load of years.
@Obscure_Observer
"Phil is doing an excellent job."
Well, spending billions buying half the game industry helps to.
It's hard to know what to make of these numbers with both PS5 and XBOX Series still having shortages. But the bottom line is PS5 was still third in the US last month. No excuses, if supply is the issue then get more because getting outsold is getting outsold. Their still losing market share.
This is going to be a much closer console race than last gen. That's been obvious to me from the start. For one thing XBOX didn't shoot itself it the foot like it did at the launch of XBOX one, and they're spending billions upon billions pretty much buying half the game industry.
Plus both sides still have shortages, so it's hard to really tell by these numbers.
Resident Evil needs a reboot that goes back to zombies. I just don't know where else they can go with this shit. Ethan Winters is still alive? His daughter has superpowers? What's next vampires and werewolves? Oh yeah, they actually already did that.
I take it back, I guess I am being a bit of a hater. But I saw most of the show and I honestly found most of it pretty forgettable. Really only the last 3 announcements had any significance in my view but that's just my opinion. And starfield does look pretty amazing, it looks like Fallout in space which is pretty cool.
Is this even serious? Of course they are. They're totally new games, remade from the ground up and even with new story. Not only are they worth it, to me they're pretty much my most anticipated games of this whole gen.
